14th EurOMA Sustainable Operations and Supply Chains Forum
Groningen, The Netherlands
The promise of inter- and trans-disciplinary approaches for sustainable operations and supply chains
It is widely acknowledged that many of the sustainability challenges that the world faces, and what has been part of the research agenda within the past EurOMA Sustainability Forums, require scientists to go beyond the boundaries of their respective disciplines. However, realizing and engaging in inter- or transdisciplinary work is a challenge in itself. The forum aims to bring together people that have experience and interest in such, much needed work. Given that the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Groningen has been very involved in promoting and engaging in inter- and transdisciplinary approaches, we aim to combine the expertise, knowledge and lessons learnt here with those of the EurOMA community.
We welcome both examples of inter- and trans-disciplinary work that bring sustainable OM/SCM further as well as critical reflections, problems and discussions of limits to such approaches. We invite submissions in all areas related to sustainable operations and supply chains that align with the theme.
